My CED electrical internship

A hands-on introduction to electrical work, safety standards, and practical site installations completed as part of my vocational learning journey.

Lighting, cameras, and HVAC installations

During my time at the CED internship, I worked closely with licensed electricians across diverse day-to-day tasks. My primary responsibilities involved assisting with the setup, wiring, and maintenance of lighting fixtures, commercial security cameras, and HVAC electrical connections.

Solar panel setup and renewable systems

I gained valuable practical experience learning the fundamentals of setting up solar panel arrays. This included learning proper mounting techniques, cable runs, and how renewable energy systems integrate safely into building power circuits.

Electrical safety and foundational skills

As my first internship in the electrical trade, the most important takeaway was mastering on-site electrical safety protocols. I learned risk mitigation, safe isolation practices, and proper tool handling, building confidence for my future trade career.
